Nike Shop Display – 3D Lettering
I liked this 3d lettering in the Nike store I saw a while back – someone once refered to it as typographical design in 3D format. Used all the time in 2D advertising, it’s great seeing it in 3D letters.
Keeping all the letters the same, helps to punch out the strapline (nearly wrote punch line there) but provides more info for those who are more interested.
I have used this techniques many times on exhibition stands for showing services that clients offer and then highlighting their main core business

Shopping Bag Display
Saw this in the the airport at Dusseldorf in Germany a couple of months ago and thought it was cleaver – a giant shopping bag display;
You can see they made it out of an aluminium frame, with fabric graphics wrapped around it.
Interesting display!

Spring Shop Display
This perfume display smells of spring, quite colourful!

Such a large display for a small bottle, but thats marketing for you – impactful!

LED Wall Lighting
Saw this amazing LED wall light feature, the other day when walking down the West End, and it made me think that LED’s are really starting to find their place now!
The power of LED in it’s application have a couple of unique features, some of which has been used to their full capacity and some not. Yes, alot of lighting companies have seen the effiiciency advantages of it’s potential in saving electricity and expoited the fact they outlast incandescent lights. The motor industry for instance has used the speed at which they turn on and off, using it for traffic lights and headlamps and even the interior and exhibition industry for the fact that you can use them in cracks or very thin recesses on lighting details.
But I also wondered when we were going to get a interior design application and use the fact that you could use them as a very distributed source of light as apposed to the point source that we have always been used to, until now of course.
This design has these 3 dimensional tubes come out of the wall and are lined with LED’s at the back of them so you cannot see the source of light and controlled by a I-Pod touch like device that controls the intensity AND colour at with a finger touch or turn as it were. Absolutely fantastic, dim the lights, create the mood, enjoy the design and above all – dont be blinded by the light.

An Uplifting Display for the New Mac!
Saw this great display yesterday on Regent Street at the infamous Apple Shop.
I did do a double take, as great ads / displays make you do, to obviously find out that the balloon is held by a couple of clear gut drops, but what a great shop display!
In true Apple style, always clean cut, well composed but clever, very clever. Here’s to one of my favourite brands!
Do Top Brands need to look the same around the world
This shop front display just caught my eye today, if I am not mistaken is completely different to the shops in South Africa?
The question is, how much of the look and feel of a shop is part of the brand and hould this be the same around the world?
Well I think so, as much as I like this shop in London, I think they should be the same, even the main logo above the shop is slightly different to that in SA.
